What advantage is a Private Guide? The Private Guide has traveled this way before, possibly several times. He is from Africa, has lived all his life here and is familiar with the components of travelling around to different countries. He manages the details of travel. For instance, dietary and medical necessities, travel arrangements on a daily basis..(that’s right, just relax, it’s all taken care of!), special events and birthday surprises by request, any liaison necessary between the camp managers and local guides and deals with the ‘unexpected travel bumps’.

He is a guide firstly so adds value to all wildlife related activities and works with local guides to get the most out of your visit. He becomes a mentor, friend and ‘Go to’ for everybody. Guides are generally great characters, with a fund of information on history, wildlife, photography and wonderful stories of travels, funny events and incidents and of course themselves. Patience is a pre-requisite for working with travelers, and they have a deep love for Africa, it’s people and the wildlife!

There is continuity for the entire trip, and this allows far less repetition when moving from camp to camp, as far as local information goes, and the Private Guide becomes familiar with the various needs and wants of his guests. This all makes for better travel experiences!

Together with the Private Guide, we suggest a private charter aircraft, and dedicated vehicle at each camp. All these components contribute towards making the entire experience far more boutique!
